What is e.g. US-check? Daes it work in Russia? And will I have to pay taxes when I get money from my bank account?

Hi Svetlana,
It would be useful if you could provide some more information, for example:
- What kind of amounts are we talking about (not the exact amount, but there's a difference whether you need to transfer 20 euros or 2,000..)?
- Are you resident in Russia (your profile doesn't say where you're located...)?
- Do you have a bank account? Assuming that's the case, is your bank account in roubles, or do you also have a foreign-currency account?

What is e.g. US-check? Daes it work in Russia?

A USD cheque is a cheque issued in US dollars, and usually drawn on a US bank. Cashing a USD cheque in Russia should be possible, however, I would expect the fees to be substantial - check with your bank.

Hi, Svetlana ! come to visit "CONTACT" money transfer system - it's the Russian analogue of Western Union. Their fee is only 3%.
