Hi,
I have just received a PO from a US translation company. Everything looks OK apart from the fact that the PO does not indicate the translator's name. Is this normal? PO's from European companies always indicate translator's name.
Pls advise.
Thanks
Laura

My feeling is that this is an oversight.

A PO is not complete without the names of both sides of the contract!

Just point it out to them; it could be merely a clerical error.

Good luck!

Thank you, Nancy! Nov 15, 2004

You were right, I pointed it out to them and they resent an amended PO with my name.
Thanks!

Laura, too much is put into the PO. Basically, a PO is a piece of paper. The integrity of the people behind the paper is the important thing, not the paper itself. I have accepted orders from companies in the US of more than $20,000 with no more than an email-and have gotten the money. On the other hand, I have received POs from companies that are not worth the paper on which they are written. I recommend that you check the integrity of the people who are ordering and less pay less attention on what is written in the PO.
