How about for an in-house proofreader? Aug 7, 2008

6 years later, I have the same question - but for an in-house editor/checker/proofer.

I'm a native English speaker living in a foreign country. The wife is a freelance translator, and I do all her EN checking/proofing. In this way, we offer 'two natives' quality and we manage, month by month, to get by (despite most people wanting 'two natives' quality with 0.5 of a native's cost!).

But due to personal reasons, I'm now shopping myself around the city's agencies as an 'in-house native', and I'm wondering, what's a fair/sensible/good Euro rate to be asking, monthly?
