Any collection agencies operating in the UK

I am in need of a good collection agency to go after a UK client who steadfastly refuses to pay me (almost a year since billing).

Anyone can help?

One I am currently using (first and only time in 9 years of translating... GRRR!) is the Jack Russell Collections & Investigations Agency (http://www.debtcollect.co.uk/).
I first contacted them back in February.
If they had been able to collect from my former client without having to go to court, they would have taken 20% of the amount collected. But completely on spec, I have not yet paid any... See more

(And I could just forget about it right now if I wanted to and not be out anything, other than the original invoices of course, but will probably see it all the way through to the court, seeing that it's close to $1500 and all court fees reimbursed to me by client after the judgment).
I dealt with these Jack Russell people via email and also on the telephone. They seem very knowledgeable and helpful and apparently operate all throughout the UK.

Thanks for a very helpful suggestion. I will contact them today. I, too, will pursue this to a successful conclusion. These people should not be allowed to steal our hard work. I see you live in the States (I am in Canada), so fighting it in court will be a hassle, but you will win, I am sure. Anyway, I wish you every success.

I have used it and it does work.
The agency that owed me money paid immediately. However you need to have an address in the UK.
