How much do you charge for Terminology Database entries?

Client ask me to create DejaVuX terminology database from the project I translate now.
This would be paid in addition.
But I don't have idea how much to charge for this job.
Please, share your experience about the rates for database entries (saying, compared to the rate per source word).

It very much depends on the kind of terminology May 30, 2006

Case A) Demanding terminology needing considerable research:

I would estimate 8 times the word rate, no matter in which format the list should be delivered

Case B) Simple terminology which is only needed to insure consistency:

2 times the word rate, since it involves selecting source and target terms with the mouse and then hitting F10 to enter it into the Lexicon or F11+Enter to enter it into the Terminology Database. This takes roughly as much time as translating and writing the term 2 times.

In practice, both cases may occur within one project, in which case you could interpolate according to the proportions.
