Need Advice on European and US Debt Collection

Happy New Year!

Starting off the New Year, I'd like to ask if anyone has any recommendations for enforcing collection of non-payment.

I have two long-term outstanding payables: one in Spain and one in Belgium.

Also one in California.

Any help or recommendations from anyone with experience enforcing collection would be of great help.

This outfit worked for me. Jan 11, 2007

I recently passed on a debt to Global Recovery Alliance AG in Switzerland. They were able to secure payment with a single phone call. The downside was that I had to pay about half of the amount receivable in fees.

This looks like what I need. I have written to the Spanish agency advising that if I don't receive full payment or a reasonable settlement offer, I'll proceed with the "procedimiento monitorio".

Thank you, Tim, for the useful recommendation.

I'll contact the agency for the collection of the outstanding debt in Belgium. It's never inexpensive following up on bad debts and it's really a shame that things like this happen out of intent and not simple mistake or misunderstanding. Everyone loses.
