Thanks.

found nothing about browniz Oct 2, 2007

I found nothing about browniz in that link?
Netiher do I understand what you mean by "second option"
DO you mean partial membership?
Or corporate membership?

Please explain

Edit: Perhaps I don't see the option because I do not have 4000 browniZ (yet...)

Hope it helps.

3. How can I use browniz?

ProZ.com wants to give benefits to, and retain, the more active contributors. Browniz provide a rough way to track contributions.

If a member's browniz total rises to 4000, that member is entitled to a discount on a future purchase of ProZ.com membership. New professional memberships can be purchased for 115 dollars/99 euros + 4000 browniz; professional membership renewals are available for 109 dollars/94 euros + 4000 browniz.

Browniz points can also be used to pay for access to entries on the outsourcer Blue Board, directory text ads, and more in the future.

Browniz also contribute to a member's standing in the directory--if two members have the same number of KudoZ points, the one with more browniz is shown first.

8. How can I upgrade to membership, paying partly with BrowniZ?

If you have at least 4000 browniz, you can trade them for a discount on ProZ.com membership. To do so, start at the Membership Purchase Page. Those with enough browniz to take advantage of the discount will see the option to buy with a browniz discount.

New members can join for 90 $/euros and 4000 browniz.

Current members can renew before their membership expires for 80 $/euros and 4000 browniz.

Thanks Mulyadi Oct 2, 2007

That explains it - no, that bit about browniz does not show when I click the link. Probably because I do not have 4000 browniz.
(but I am working on that)

sums were never my strong point at school... Oct 2, 2007

...but if membership renewal costs $119 - or $109 + 4000 Browniz - this suggests to me that 1 Brownie = 0.0025 cents.

And that's 0.0025 US cents - not even Canadian cents or better still Euro cents.

I'm so overwhelmed by this generous offer that I think I'll have to go and have a lie down.

Not enough Brownies Oct 2, 2007

Thank you all, I have now realized that it is because I do not yet have 4000 brownies points. I must admit I thought the discount was larger than 10 dollars.. anyway a little note explaining that if you have 4000 + brownies you would get a discount, would be helpful on the payment page, and might even encourage more people to try and gain more brownies.
