Update on Logoport rates

Re my last posting regarding my low rates in Logoport.

I proposed that my rates be adjusted as follows:

Repetitions 30%
100 30%
95-99 50%
85-94 75%
75-84 100%
50-74 100%
No match 100%

The client has now got back to me saying "...all agreements on Logoport pricing that are entered in the vendor database shall follow the standard matrix." (which is basically the matrix with the lower rates in my last posting). I know that ... See more

(which is basically the matrix with the lower rates in my last posting). I know that not all translators are following this matrix, but how the heck do I go about challenging this?? Should I just increase my rate per word?

AFAIK, you have the following options:

1) Tell them you don't work for those rates, and find other clients to work for
2) Raise your base rate so you end up with the amount that you want to earn for the job (assuming they will accept the higher rate)
3) Accept defeat and continue working for the same rates

(I'm guessing the Norwegian means something like: all translations in Logoport are paid according to the standard matrix of the client)
