Hej!

I'm Japanese translator.

Now I'm translation a old Norwegian song,"Aa, hugen min".

I consulted dictionary and searched internet many times, but I can't understand 4 word- eg, hev, ersom and aarom. I'll write the song below.

Han der lyt han enda,
Der eg hev lagt han, der lyt han bli.
Saa hev eg vaare i all min tid.

Det ersom hjarta i bringa bankar.

To help the process, you might want to elaborate on exactly why you are translating a highly dialectic, very old poem.

Yes, maybe you should have this as a terms question. But it's tedious when you have to set up four of them. Anyway, the answers are pretty straightforward:

eg - 1st person singular pronoun
hev - present tense of verb "ha" (Engl. have)
ersom - probably a mistake in the original, should have a space between "er" and "som"
aarom - dative plural of "aare" (Engl. vein)

I'm really surprised and impressed if you understand the rest of it without problems, though. It seems to me there are several more mistakes in the original.

I'm translating the poem, because a Japanese amateur chorus　group want to sing this song.
I don't know why they chose this poem, because I got the job via a translation agency, not directlly from the client.
Anyway the answer Lars Finsen gave me, helps me a lot.
