En amerikansk bekejent som har begynt å jobbe seriøst med språkvask av engelske tekster, har spurt meg om dette i forbindelse med prising og fakturering av oppdrag: hvor lenge er en (norsk)time? Er det 45 min. eller en klokketime?

Dersom du regner med en norsk normalarbeidsuke med 37.5 timer så er hver time på 60 minutter. I Norge er nemlig spisepause på 30 minutter hver dag IKKE medregnet i de 37.5 timene, og heller ikke betalt av arbidsgiver (vanligvis). Har aldri støtt på noen som regner en time til noe annet enn 60 minutter i denne sammenheng.

Hei, dere to!
Vil bare få bekrefte det Geir sier her. Har aldri i mine snart 35 år i arbeidslivet opplevd noe annet enn at én arbeidstime er 60 minutter!
Stiller seg jo litt annerledes hvis man er i en undervisningsstilling, selvsagt, men det er det jo ikke snakk om her?
