Anyone have an idea how much ESL (private lessons cost in US? (I know this will be wildly approximate!)

ballpark range: $40 - $70, possibly less? Apr 19, 2003

Here are a few links I found:

$39-45/hr: http://brandoncollege.com/pmcourses.html#Private

$55/hr:

http://www.bostonacademyofenglish.com/privateclasses.html

$37/hr:

http://www.icls.com/ESL/ESLPrivate.htm

$63-$70/hr:

http://www.americanenglishacademy.com/individual.html

You can find more with a google search for \"ESL \'private instruction\' $ \".

Probably you can also get a local foreign exchange student or similar to give lessons for considerably cheaper, I\'m guessing in the $15-$30 range, but it\'s not clear how effective this would be and you might be better off with a \"professional\".

Hope that helps!

Michele
