I haven't tried one yet but I'd be curious to know whether a mouse will work on such a surface - maybe your cat will appreciate it more

I tried the rug, but it flew away with the mouse :-) Nov 30, 2008

Now my mouse rests -and works- on the Rosetta stone:

Thanks again, to the colorful colleague who gave it to me

very chic Nov 30, 2008

I bought one for my retired father when he changed his old computer last year.
It works perfectly well with a normal, non optical mouse.

Of course it is not Persian silk but 100% synthetic fabric

I've used it with both a regular and cordless mouse and it works great.

Beautiful! Dec 1, 2008

Wow, those are really nice. I wonder if an optical mouse would freak out on that?

That's good news Dec 1, 2008

I've pretty much hated all the mouse pads I've ever used, both in terms of function and appearance. A rug would certainly a touch of luxury to my desk. Thanks for checking!

Not for me Dec 1, 2008

Tried one, pretty useless and starts bending after some time.

a misunderstanding :) Dec 10, 2008

Funny, when I saw the title, I thought it was another humorous translation error - that someone had translated "mouse mat" into another language with words literally meaning "mouse rug" (and for live mice, at that)
Well, I should have realized immediately it wasn't in the "Lighter side of translation" but in the "Off-topic" section next to it
