As we work through the internet downloading from many different contacts, often a program spying on your PC usage has entered into your computer. This little program can remove these "spies".

http://www.webroot.com/wb/products/spysweeper/index.php

It can be tested for free for a short period of time, and then to continue you will need to pay for it.

Check it out, you might be surprised to see how much entered into your computer without your knowing and sending back info to others.

You can through this link choose whatever spyware removal you want to test

AdAware 6.0 from Lavasoft Sep 17, 2003

It is very useful to use anti spyware softwares. That's right.
My choice is AdAware 6.0 from Lavasoft, because it is efficient and the standard version is free. (no time limit)

http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

"Ad-aware is THE award winning, multi-trackware detection and removal utility (designed for Windows 98 / 98SE / ME / NT40 / 2000 / XP Home / XP Pro) that will comprehensively scan your memory, registry, hard, removable and optical drives for known Datamining, aggressive advertising, Parasites, Scumware, Keyloggers, selected traditional Trojans, Dialers, Malware, Browser hijackers, and tracking components.

Ad-aware will provide you with the confidence to surf the Internet knowing that your privacy will remain intact."

What about Norton? Sep 20, 2003

I've just noticed that Lavasoft Ad-Aware is free only for non-commercial use. Do you know if Internet security packages by Symantec, McAfee etc. also have an anti-spyware function? Thanks

This will take you to the McAfee store, where you can ge answers to your questions. There is one that can protect exploitation of your private information, but apparently there is not one specifically for spyware. Norton also shows no specific spyware removal program.
