I have just learned a new concept that I want to share with all the women on Proz.com: "potty parity".
A proposal was made by New York City councillors that builders must provide twice as many toilets for women as for men.
The bill is part of the so-called "potty parity" movement in the US. Fight on, sisters.

Yes!!! Dec 5, 2003

Parity - well, not 1:1, but women's lines are usually twice as long because often there are as many or more children using the ladies room as women!

Men stay on average shorter times (don't use make-up), are anatomically priviledged (sorry), do not wear tights nowadays - and after all, most cultural facilities like concert halls, operas, museums etc. have more female attendance than male visitors.¨
Twice as many seats for women serves also us men, since we don't have to wait so much for the lady to come back.

Men do use those 2 to 1 ladies rooms, don´t they? Dec 6, 2003

I mean those little boys who come in packs with Mommies and those little boys who ride in the wombs and cause Mom to run like mad toward that place every 15 minutes (this alone would ask for more "potty parity". I don't think men would crave to share equally in this little problem. So - those are your wives and sisters, guys, be fair... Counting 2 and 1 on fingers is not a sound factor analysis here

There was a try. One group of feminists in Sweden wanted to tear out all the urinals in grade schools because standing to pee allows boys to triumph in their masculinity, "a nasty macho gesture" and by extension degrading to women.

Incredible, right?

Let's be honest here ... Dec 7, 2003

Let's be honest here ... this is a thinly veiled attempt to allow women in bars and restaurants to flock to the toilet together in even greater numbers than they already do :->
