as far as I can see, all was done VERY well. Besides, Latvia got 4 Silvers (whitch is a kind of achievement for a country of our size):):) Uldis | | | What about the last gold? | Aug 29, 2004 |
What should we say, then, about the marvellous ceremony just finished? I'm Italian and we cannot be prouder seeing our athlete winning the most important race in the Games. Listeting to our hymn just as a closure to the venue was superbe. Thank you Greece and thank you Baldini!! Pamela | | | Your comments make me happy | Aug 29, 2004 |
I am happy you all feel that way, the Italian national anthem sounds superb, Pamela

Good to hear our guests enjoyed the Olympics, because we enjoyed having you here just as much! Personally, I loved the opening ceremony, and the festive mood in all competitions I went to and in Athens at night! Congratulations to all your athletes who won medals and wore the olive wreath | | | What a gorgeous opening ceremony... | Aug 30, 2004 |
Even seen on a small TV screen from my living room in France, the opening ceremony was absolutely stunning, with world-class choreography, stage design, costumes...everything was simply gorgeous. Thank you Greece! | | | The Olympic Games at home | Aug 30, 2004 |
I missed the opening, but watching the closing ceremony last night glued to the TV screen. It was beautiful! It was specially touching that the Marathon race was, well, the original Marathon-Athens, and that the beutiful stadium in Olympia was used to hold one of the athletic meetings. Congratulations to all those whose efforts made possible such superb Games: both athletes and organisators! Thanks, Greece!
