Talking of free movement of persons, with no borders, I have dual nationality (UK/Spanish). On one occasion, when I arrived at London I produced my Spanish ID card because it was handier. The Customs officer saw my Engish name and asked whether I had a UK passport, to which I replied affirmatively. He then told me that I should always produce it; otherwise I could be denied entry!!
