Hungarian incorrect Dec 19, 2004

The correct Hungarian spelling should be:
Boldog új évet kívánok
without diacritics:
Boldog uj evet kivanok

Anyway, I do wish a happy new year to all Prozzians - in 2005 we will most probably pass the mark of 100,000 profiles!

Same wishes for you too Dec 19, 2004

Very interesting idea of teaching us this wishes in so many languages.
Just one remark:
Romanian also say: La multi ani
and
Greek also say: Chronia Pola

I was thinking to make such a list for Merry Christmas, but I only know it for a few languages.
Should we try together?

English: Merry Christmas
German: Frohe Weihnachten
Spanish: Feliz Navidad
Italian: Buon Natale
Greek: Kala Christugena
French: Joyeux Noel
Romanian: Craciun fericit

Please add your language!

Best wishes to everybody!
Ruxi

Turkish translations Dec 20, 2004

In response to Ruxi's question:

Merry Christmas:

"Mutlu Noeller"
or
"Noel'iniz kutlu olsun"

The new year's greeting above needs to be modified, by the way. It's "Yeni Yiliniz Kutlu Olsun." (If you want to use proper Turkish spelling, only the first "i" should have a dot; the rest go without. This doesn't apply to the Christmas greeting.)

Hindi's version is incorrect Dec 20, 2004

It must be 'naye varsha ki shubhakamnayein' in Hindi
In Nepali, 'nava varshako shubhakaamnana'
In Sanskrit- ' Navavarshasya shubhkamna'

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL PROZ FELLOWS!
