dear friends, I need to find the text of this Act; i dug all over the Internet (OFT, Parliament, HMSO and other sites) but have failed to lay hands on the text so far. Please, if anyone knows the secret treasure trove - share the link!
TIA

CONSUMER Credit Act Dec 15, 2005

Hello Danya

Maybe your post was a typo but it is "Consumer" not "Customer".
I doubt you will find the full original text because Her Majesty's Stationery Office jealously guards the copyright. You could, of course, order a copy from them.
There have been numerous amendments since 1974; this site might be of some help:
http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/consumer_finance.htm#ccact
Good luck.

Just found this:
http://www.john.antell.name/CCA1974.htm

I have been to the exact same page you are giving the link to - alas, I have found amendments and whatever comments and what-nots, but the text itself..

Oh sorry, the link doesn't take you to the actual page.
Enter "Consumer Credit Act 1974"+"John Antell" in Google and you'll get the original statute.

Oddly the page doesn't seem to be accessible from the company's homepage. The document is really too big to send via ProZ.com (141 pages) but, if you'd like to let me have your e-mail address I'll send it as an attachment.
