Real Signs In Shop Windows

"Wonderful bargains for men with 16 and 17 necks."
In the window of an Oregon general store:
"Why go elsewhere to be cheated, when you can come here?"
In a Pennsylvania cemetery:
"Persons are prohibited from picking flowers from any but their own graves."
On a Tennessee highway:

From the safety information card in America WestAirline seat pocket:
"If you are sitting in an exit row and can not read this card, please tell a crew member."
On a Maine shop:
"Our motto is to give our customers the lowest possible prices and workmanship."
On a delicatessen wall: "Our best is none too good."

An oldie Mar 7, 2007

There's the old favourite:
"Don't kill your wife with the laundry. Let us do it for you."

And then:
"Please don't throw stones at this notice."
{That's all the notice said).

Fun post,
Regards, Jenny.

Not in a shop window, but Mar 8, 2007

On an airline; they informed us that our seat cushions could also serve as a flotation device.

It was quite comforting to know that.

I enjoyed a bag of peanuts on a plane once - the instructions read "To use: Open bag, eat nuts."

I've seen this notice more than once on packets of nuts:

"This product may contain nuts".

Oh good ...

Love, Jenny.

When I lived in the Czech Republic I developed a fascination with the signs there, the symbols, which were very different from ours, and hilarious- including a sign for a podiatrist at the train station(!), with a foot with four toes
Can attach a couple of my faves if I work out how to attach files.
