Hello,
My husband and I are going to Portugal for 10 days. Specifically Faro and Lisbon.
March 14th to 27th.
Is there anybody there that would have an afternoon/evening free and accept an invitation to lunch/dinner and talk about the profession and Portugal? I do 99% Spanish interpreting these days, since the demand is overwhelming and my computer skills are getting rusted by the minute...

I just got back from Lisbon today. It's such a cool and beautiful city! Great places to eat out, beautiful sites and views...You're gonna love it! Sunny weather too and lovely Portuguese people. I am planning to start learning Portuguese. It's such a beautiful language!

If you use Google (Algarve translator), you will find (Proz) colleagues to contact. I suppose you could do the same for Lisbon.
Did you try to post this in the Portuguese forum? That might be another option.

but I think it might be a bit late to rearrange things, I don't know.
I sent an e-mail to Inge proposing to have dinner with her on Saturday night, since I'll be in Lisbon, but I'm not sure if she got it.
If you opt out for a powwow I can help you out with reservations in the restaurant. Just let me know about it.

I can probably do it until the 18th and ask my father for his second home key to stay there, but I really can't on the 19th or after that.
I live in Leiria, which is about 120 km far from Lisbon, so I only have the weekend.

I'm sorry to hear that. We're arriving on the 15th and will probably stay in the Faro area the weekend...
I just don't know when exactly we'll be in Lisbon.
