A worldwide poll conducted in 63 languages finds that “As 2002 draws to a close, the world is not a happy place.”

In Our Prayers Dec 25, 2002

This season of family reunions and excited bubbly children opening presents at the foot of bright decorated Christmas trees is also a time to remember those who will go lonely.

My physician friends in public hospitals hate working between December 24th and New Year\'s for it is the time when the lonely feels loneliest and suicide rates skyrocket.

Let us remember them in our prayers that this may help bring some of them back from the brink.
