Dear Prozians,

I am looking for an affordable place to stay in Buenos Aires, Argentina from Sept 30 to Oct 5th. I would like to stay in a B&B, or another small hotel with good food and nice people.
I don't require luxury, but I do want a single room with private bath. Does anyone know of a great place to stay in a good neighborhood in Buenos Aires?

Any tips about restaurants where the locals eat are also appreciated!

Muchas gracias.

hostels? Aug 14, 2007

Hello Ann,
Maybe you can stay in a hostel (some hostels offer private rooms).
Check this page: www.ba-h.com.ar/

A short time ago, I went backpacking around Europe and I used to book all my hostels at www.hostelworld.com

Enjoy Buenos Aires...

If you're not looking for luxury... well this was cheap and well located.

I stayed there for a week in December, and I had a good time

But I know there are a lot of interesting options

list and reviews Aug 14, 2007

Hi Ann,

Take a look at these 2 links below taken from Tripadvisor. There are some B&Bs and hostels, with descriptions, photos, maps, price range and most of all reviews from past guests. This might be useful to select which place could be good for you and which one is to stay away from because it's a dump.

I recommend to contact and book directly with the B&B/hostel and not go through expedia, orbitz etc.... at least you know who you are dealing with.

Thanks a lot Aug 19, 2007

Dear all,

Many thanks for your replies. I have found a hostel in the center of BA and I am looking forward to my visit to Argentina. Now I am setting up a trip to Iguazu Falls and I can't wait to get on the plane...

Best regards,
--Ann
