Hello all!

My spoken English (mainly but not only) so needs brushing up that I decided to spend 3 to 4 weeks in London in October. (I love London too and haven't been there for quite a while.) I’m looking for paying accommodation in a host family (half-board), with en-suite facilities and Internet broadband access, so that I can work from there. I would like to be as near Central London as pos. to be able to go to the pictures, to a gym, etc. Would any of you know someone who would know someone etc… who would be interested?

I've contacted a few homestay agencies I found on the Net, but to not avail yet.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Marie-Christine

The links I found are actually agencies offering accommodations with host families, not direct contacts to families.....

I would also reccommend to contact the British Tourist Authority in your country, just to see if they can recommend something else....

I don't know why I only just saw your answer.

At the moment I would rather find accommodation with evening meal. I'm afraid flat-sharing with a professionnal won't give me so many opportunities to practice my English. But if I change my mind, I will certainly try gumtree!
