Dear All,
Recently, I could not open office applications from attachment link in my Outlook or File Explorer.
The error message below:

I can only open it from "Open" files in the application menu (be it Excel or Word)
I am using Windows Vista Home Edition

Anyone can help?

Hikmat

Hi,

Have you installed SP1 both for Windows and Office? If not please do and it might solve the problem.
Another option is that your computer might be infected with some virus, please read here for more information - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311446
And lastly you might want to try and re-register the office applications as explained in here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q210565/

I hope that it will solve the problem.
