Hi all,

I have a Word document that I translated.
I save in Print Layout view before closing it. But the next time I open it, the viewing mode has reverted to Normal.

The strange thing is that this only occurs to this particular DOC. Other Word files keep to their last saved view.

I found other threads mention forcing the default viewing through Normal.dot:
http://www.technologyquestions.com/technology/microsoft-office/163997-word-2003-print-layout-view-other-issues-layout-view.html
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.word.docmanagement/browse_thread/thread/1dabf6b1a9496384/cb340b7af59819ba?lnk=raot

But I can't believe the culprit would be Normal.dot, because then my issue would affect all files, not just one.

Any idea what could cause this problem?

TIA,

/J
