Using MS Word 2000.
I have a page which I wish to format with two columns in the top half and none (ie just normal paragraphs in the bottom half of the page).
How do I set the two column formattiing to revert to one column halfway down the page, please?

Use section break

AFAIR there should be a menu called Insert - and then manual break from it. Look for section break in Word help.

Use a table
Feb 3, 2009
1) Insert a 2 x 2 table. 2) Combine the two lower columns in one. 3) Write your text filling the corresponding cells. 4) Make invisible the cell borders, either using the eraser, or the "Hide Cell Borders" Command.
