Hello everyone,
I need to translate an insurance form with numerous columns and rows. I have the form in Word 2002 but am only able to edit fields that have entries such as the name and address of a client. I'd rather not try to recreate the complex form myself since I don't have experience creating tables. Is there a way to get around whatever's keeping me from being able to edit the whole form?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.
Kim

Are you sure the form is made in table? because some people like to make them in text boxes too, though God knows why. but you can try double clicking in it and you might get the cursor, or right click on it and click "add text". If it is the table then I cant see any point why you wont be able to edit it.

I think you could try this:
Choose one cell and click on it with the left mouse's botton, then go to the "menu table" > select cell; with this you have selected the entire cell and you should be able to write on it.

If that doesn't work, try this:
menu edit > select all > menu edit (again) > copy; then open a NEW word document and select menu edit > past. With this you have created a copy and you can try whatever you want without damaging the original text.

Kind Regards,

Thank you very much azure and Diogo. Actually there was a very simple solution: click on Tools/Unprotect Document and voila! Fuad Yahya asked me to send him the document and he told me how to do it.
What a wonderful world is ProZ!
