Is there a possibility (command, macro) to change all decimal points into commas. Something like replacing the point, if its between two numerals?
Would be great for my ungoing project.

Find: ^#.^# and replace with ^#,^# (^# denotes any digit).
Though I wouldn't recommend using "Replace all".
It takes time, but maybe there's a smarter way.

There were some macros posted in wordfast yahoo group exactly for that purpose a few weeks ago.

But Word won't do it. It says ^# does not do as a wildcard, even when I search for [0-9].[0-9]

the problem is that not only decimals comas will be convert into points, so you can lost a lot of millions

CTRL H, then:
([0-9]).([0-9])
Replace with
1,2 (this should have been backslash1,backslash2)
Use wildcards
I got this hint from a colleague here at proz some time ago. It is working marvellously, at least for me:) But be careful with English millions and billions...

^# finds any number in the normal Find dialogue with the \'Use wildcards\' option switched OFF.
Use [0-9] instead of ^# when searching with the \'Use wildcards\' option.
You can\'t mix the two.

Word will not do it, and the document contains so many other occations, where the point between numbers should remain, that I could not do it for all automatically, even if it worked.
I'll leave it as it is or do it manually.

Instead of just typing ^#.^# in the search box, include all the decimal places and the following space/comma/period/^p/etc. This is still a long process since you have to run the search several times for the different options, but still faster than doing it manually over a long document.
The string to replace a period for a comma in a string like this:
Max. Length: 786.50 mm;
would be:
Search for:
([0-9]),([0-9][0-9] )
...
