Set the language in your document to the desired one Feb 26, 2005

or uncheck the automatic switching of keyboard.
To do so go to Tools - Options - Editing (based on german Word XP) and uncheck "Auto keyboard switching".

To set the language of the document edit the styles and afterwards press CTRL+A, go to Tools - Language - Set language and chose the proper one.

HTH

Language icon Feb 26, 2005

I meant by language bar, language icon that appers with word when I open it.

It appers with "Formatting" bar. That icon changed suddenly.

Word that I have got is Microsoft Word 2003

Is the language of you document set properly? Feb 26, 2005

Is automatic language change unchecked?
Have you adapted styles/language settings?
Did you uncheck automatic keyboard switching?

I can´t tell you, how it works in Word 2003, as I have Word XP, but it is at least similar - and I´ve written the ways for Word XP above.

Regards
Jerzy

You said: "Is automatic language change unchecked?"

Where is this option?

Have you adapted styles/language settings?

I went to the Tools->language->set language, but still I can not see language icon on the "Formating toolbar", why?

You will find it in various places.
When editing standard style and changing language, you can find an option for automatic language recognition (sorry, not change but recognition).
You can press CTRL+A and go to Tools - Language - Set language and then set your target language and uncheck the option for automatic language recognition.
Why don´t you ask Word for help? It doesn´t bite...
The help function in Word was and still is the best way to learn this programm.

Simply because there should be no language icon there. You should have a language icon on your Windows task bar. If you change the language there, Word will be able to write in this language.

Please try to use Word help, if you cannot find the specified options, as you use another language version that I have, so the options might be called slightly different. Word help has a good search function, so you´ll probably find what you are looking for.
