Word codes in JSP files
Thread poster: xxxFullCircle
I just finished a translation of jsp files. I used Wordfast as CAT tool. The outsourcer told me that the files I sent him contained a lot of extra code and there was a lot of code inside the original code. It turns out that Word inserts code after closing each segment and a lot of other codes. Is it possible to prevent this, because its quite a nuisance to have to clean up all these codes in an editor? I don't have Trados, so I had to work with WF.
Thanks for any advice.
Btw: I've posted this question here and not at the WF forum because I think it is a Word problem.

Try saving the finished file as plain text if there are not too much of formatting.

Thanks for the tip! Although it does not prevent the extra work, it definitely makes it faster. Its a lot easier to copy plain text into the original jsp than to copy the original codes from the original document into the translated document. Never thought about it but I won't forget it anymore. But it still is a lot of extra work.
So is there no other way to prevent all this extra work?
