Word startup in safe mode

Did anyone encounter this problem? My Word – I have Office XP – does not start normally anymore, but in Safe mode. I have a lot of inactive features, so the use is very limited.
I have tried to uninstall Office and install it back, but nothing changed.
Can anyone help?
