There are a number of special symbols that are often used in the course of creating a document. The copyright, trademark and registered symbols are quite common in many types of documents. Here are several quick ways you can add the symbols to your documents.

Inserting a Registered Mark (®):Ctrl+Alt+R
Inserting a Trademark (™):Ctrl+Alt+T
If you prefer to use the mouse, you can follow these steps:
1. Choose Symbol from the Insert menu. Word displays the Symbol dialog box.
2. Make sure the Special Characters tab is selected.
3. Choose Copyright/Registered/Trademark from the list of available characters.
4. Click on OK.
These tips work with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003.
Here are the HTML codes you can add the symbols to your web pages.
Copyright (©) : &+copy;
Registered (®) : &+reg;
Trademark (™) : &+#153;
