I've just bought the upgrade to Translation Office, but I can't get the upgrade to run! Once installed, when I try to run it I get "TO3000V8 copy is not found on this PC".

Has anyone else had this problem? Have you found the solution? Unfortunately I've been waiting over a week for a reply from customer support.

I had the same problem when trying to upgrade.

You have to upload the new version first (not simply the upgrade), then run the upgrade and enter the key you received in the e-mail.

From the website: "If you are a user of TO3000 Version 7, please download and run TO3000 V7->V8 Upgrade Utility AFTER INSTALLING VERSION 8."

Guess I was not alone in not reading it properly ...

In case you didn't see it, please have a look at this thread where you'll find quite a few drawbacks to upgrade just now (at least until they sort the compatibility issues)

It's and administration program (managing your jobs, invoices, payments, etc). Very handy although the upgrade process for the old users turned out to be a pain.

Here is a link to an article in the knowledge base about V7 of Translation Office. I hear V8 is pretty different. If you eventually want to buy it, please do read all the threads that discuss the differences between the two. For some, it may be better to stick with the old version...

I checked out this software, and it indeed looks interesting. I feel the same as you said in your fantastic article, Viktoria, that the challenges of running a home office can be daunting.

As soon as I get the Net on my PC (I'm using a Mac desktop right now, which is a handful in itself!), I'll download the free trial of TO. I agree the interface is pretty plain, but, hey, if it saves time!
