Hello,

I was trying to create a new Macro in Word, but somehow I ended up deactivating the Set/Close Next Open/Get Macro (?) in MS-Word 2003.

All the other Trados shortcuts work fine, it's just the 'Set/Close Next Open/Get' shortcut that doesn't do anything.

Can anybody explain to me how to enable this shortcut again, in very very very very plain English.

Thanks,
Claudia

Hello Claudia,
This is what you do:

1. Go to the Tools menu in Word and choose Customize.
2. Choose the button Keyboard at the bottom of the dialog box.
3. Under Categories scroll down to Macros.
4. In the right hand pane Macros:, scroll down to the macro. (I have Trados 6.5, and the macro I think you mean is called tw4winSetCloseOpenGet with the standard shortcut Alt +).
5. Click in the text box "Press new shourcut key", and then press the shortcut you

6. Choose the Assign button.
7. Close the dialog box.

You can also assign other shortcuts then the standard ones for commands you often use, which I find practical. For example Alt W for Get translation that does not have any shortcut.

Hope this helps,
Cecilia
