spellcheck not working

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Recently everytime I want to do a spellcheck in word 2003 it says:

Text marked with "do not check spelling or grammar" was skipped.

This generally refers to almost the entire document. Obviously I have not marked any text as such but I cannot find how to unmark this either, do anyone have any suggestions about how to fix this?

Obviously some styles are defined with "Do not check spellin and grammar".

I use Word 2002, but I think in Word 2003 this should be the same. Select all your text (Ctrl. + A). Then go to Tools > Language > Set Language. A dialog-box will appear. Uncheck the “Do not check spelling or grammar" box.
