In long documents it is not very easy to locate possible textboxes by viewing each page seperately. Is there a function in Word that would find textboxes?
Regards
Heinrich

VBA code counting textboxes Jan 16, 2007

Sub CountTextBoxes()

ck = 0

For Each sp In ActiveDocument.Shapes

If Not (IsNull(sp.TextFrame)) Then
ck = ck + 1
End If
Next sp

MsgBox ("Number of textboxes in the document is " & ck)

End Sub

With a little more work you can count them in sections, etc.

cheap and dirty solution Jan 16, 2007

Do 'Select all' (Ctrl A) on the document and then scroll through the document. The 'normal' text will be shaded, but the text boxes will not be shaded.

Useful for relatively short documents.
