Hi,

I'm translating in an Excel spreasheet. The column to hold the translated text right now has the source text. I'm editing it because it contains tags that must stay, and it's easier to insert the translation around them than to recreate each tag every time.

The problem is that every time I need to enter cell-editing mode, I have to double-click with the mouse inside that cell.

I know I can just start typing in the cell, but that deletes the text that's already there.

Is there a key/shortcut that could do this for me?

Thanks for your ideas.
Mikhail

F2 Apr 15, 2007

Just scroll up or down to the cell you need to edit, and press F2 - the result is the same as well double-clicking the cell

F2 allows to edit the contents of the cell.

I hope this helps:)
