I don't know what happened, but I now have code displayed in Word documents that I do not want to see. At the bottom of the page I have {PAGE} and when there are e-mail addresses it says {HYPERLINK mailto:"a@a.com"} and {HYPERLINK "http://www.a.com"} for URLs. Can some kind soul out there tell me how can I get things back to normal?

Hi Casey May 22, 2007

Try this, go to Tools > Options, open the View tab and uncheck the "Field Codes" filed, which should be somewhere on the top right corner of the dialog-box.

I hope this helps,

Henry

Thank you!!! May 22, 2007

Thank you so much, Henrik. That fixed it. I guess I inadvertantly saved someone else's template. Whew! What a relief!

You helped me too! May 22, 2007

...both of you! I was just about to post a question on this, when the answer "magically" appeared before my eyes!

Thanks Henry and Casey!
