Word headers and footers: how to vary them from page to page

When creating a header in Word, what you enter is generally replicated from the one page to the next. My question is: how do you vary a header from page 1 to page 2, and from page 2 to page 3, and so on?

Basically, I would like to have a different header (and/or footer) on every page. How to stop Word from reproducing the same header/footer on every page?

Appreciate some help.

M

Change section Jan 18, 2003

Hello,

if you use the \"change section\" (Abschnittswechsel), you can modify headers and footers.

segment your document Jan 18, 2003

If you want new headers or footers, insert a section break (new page) in the body of your document. When you click on the footer/header to be changed, a small toolbar appears. Make sure you switch off the button that says \"same as previous\" when you move your mouse over it. Now you can insert the new text.
