I'm working on a PPT presentation where I cannot access the original formatting so I'm pasting text boxes on top of the original. It looks like the original was done using Wordart and the font has been made taller. I cannot use Wordart for this job because it does not allow formatting of the background....only transparent. So obviously the text underneath shows through.
Using a text box enables me to color the background to match the original (although time-consuming) but I can't mess with the font except for changing the overall size.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Delete the text underneath Aug 8, 2007

after having pasted a text box on top of the text, I would simply remove the backgroung text.

Other option - you go to Word, make the font changes there, produce a screen shot, place it in PPT and cut to height and width needed.

Modyfing font attributes different than font size is IMHO not possible in PPT.

Thanks, Jerzy but... Aug 8, 2007

the problem is that I can't access the original text to delete it or anything else.

I really think the simple answer to my question is "no, it isn't" but I wanted to ask first before writing it off completely.

Thanks again.

I do not understand the problem Aug 8, 2007

Why don't you cover the underlying text with a white box (rectangle with a white borderline and white fillingg or whatever color you need) and then put the Wordart object on top of that?
