I'm afraid the asker has chosen the wrong answer. I served a year at the Polish Army and never ever heard "Słuchajcie!" as a word of command.

To my ear, "Baczność!" should have been selected as the correct answer. This word is often pronunced by the military as "Baaa..aść!" or "Baaa...ność!". This nicely corresponds to "Aten-hut!" whic

Any other ex-soldier here?

I think it doesn't take an ex-soldier to know what the right answer should have been...

I have also never served in the British Army (thankfully), the Polish Army (very thankfully) nor any other army but I have heard "Baczność" being screamed at Polish soldiers on many occasions on Plac Piłsudskiego

Kompania, spocznij! :-))) Nov 5, 2004

Spocznij! Na śniadanie rozejść się!
Najwyższa pora, bo już godz. 0830.
