Padły dwie odpowiedzi: extraordinary commission & extraordinary committee

Obydwie zosta┼éy skrytykowane przez pidzeja, jednak chyba za p├│┼║no (czyli po zamkni─Öciu pytania), ┼╝eby mo┼╝na by┼éo podj─ů─ç dyskusj─Ö.

Osobi┼Ťcie przyzna┼éabym racj─Ö pidzejowi, jako ┼╝e m├│j podr─Öcznik do polityki wewn─Ötrznej USA w rozdziale po┼Ťwi─Öconym kongresowi wyra┼║nie m├│wi, ┼╝e istnieje co┼Ť takiego jak ÔÇťad hoc, special or select committeesÔÇŁ, a s─ů to ÔÇťtemporary committees appointed for specific purposes, generally to conduct special investigations or studies and to report back to the chamber that established themÔÇŁ.

(Karen OÔÇÖConnor and Larry J. Sabato, American Government: Continuity and Change)

Jestem prawie pewien, Feb 9, 2003

┼╝e extraordinary w tym przypadku jest niestosowne. Osobi┼Ťcie by┼ébym za special committee.

Potwierdzeniem na to jest fakt, że powoduje to zabawne skutki w druga stronę - spotałem się oto niejednokrotnie z tłumaczeniem np. \"Komitet ds. wywiadu\" (USA).

Pozdrawiam

Andrzej

Ad hoc committee Feb 9, 2003

Dzięki Lim0nko za wyłapanie takiej ciekawej sprawy!

Oto wyniki moich poszukiwań:

Webster na temat commission:

\"4 a : a group of persons directed to perform some duty b : a government agency having administrative, legislative, or judicial powers c : a city council having legislative and executive functions\"

Webster na temat committee:

\"2 a : a body of persons delegated to consider, investigate, take action on, or report on some matter; especially : a group of fellow legislators chosen by a legislative body to give consideration to legislative matters b : a self-constituted organization for the promotion of a common object \"

A to C-SPAN Congressional Glossary na temat Ad Hoc Committee:

\"An AD HOC COMMITTEE refers to a temporary committee in either the House or Senate or a temporary joint committee on behalf of both chambers. All House-Senate conference committees created to reconcile differences in legislation are considered ad hoc committees.

Other ad hoc committees are created for a one-time purpose [e.g. to investigate a scandal] or to focus on examining a specific subject. Most are created with a deadline by which they must complete their work, or expire. \"

W mojej opinii powy┼╝sze przes─ůdzaj─ů o wybraniu committee, a nie commission i ad hoc raczej ni┼╝ extraordinary.

Ciekawe wyniku daje natomiast przeszukanie Googla pod k─ůtem extraordinary commission: ot├│┼╝ pojawiaj─ů si─Ö tam nie tylko linki do polskich stron sejmowych, zwi─ůzkowych i poselskich, ale PRZEDE WSZYSTKIM mn├│stwo link├│w po┼Ťwi─Öconych czekistom, marksizmowi, leninizmowi, s┼éowem tym cz─Östo pos┼éuguje si─Ö rumu┼äska Pravda, a najlepszy cytat to:

\"Vladimir Lenin appointed Dzerzhinsky as Commissar for Internal

Affairs and head of the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission for Combating Counter-Revolution and Sabotage (Cheka).\"

Jestem za ad hoc committee

Magda

select committee - 633 trafienia

special committee - 270 trafień

ad hoc committee - 100 trafień

Za \'select\' przemawiaj─ů te┼╝ formalne nazwy r├│┼╝nych komisji nadzwyczajnych w USA i UK, np. \'US House Permanent Select Committee On Intelligence\', \'Select Committee on Homeland Security, US House of Representatives\' czy lista 42 Select Committees Izby Gmin parlamentu brytyjskiego
