Me too I hope somebody soon develops a taser-like job-focusing torture device that can be attached to the neck and goes off as soon as Firefox detects funny websites, Youtube, Wikipedia, and the likes. Don't tase me bro! Oops, I did it again.

As long as you can put a limit on that... I do, work comes first, but everybody deserves a break, don't you think;)?
Cheers,

Wow, an admirable 18% don't do it... May 28, 2008

To make matters worse, I'm thinking of starting an off-topic thread where we can share some of the sites we're most guilty of "procrastinating" in...

instead of coffee klatsch May 28, 2008

Most of us don't have colleagues next door with whom they could meet for a short coffee break.
So while others get their daily dose of office gossip, I click through Youtube, find information on extremely important subjects on Wikipedia, read an online article or whatever.

A question to the 18% who marked "No" in this poll: What do you do instead - I can't believe you never take a break between breaks?

Whatever would the boss say?

MediaMatrix

PS: I guess it's one of the advantages we have as freelancers - we're all bosses, so the rules don't apply .

Google maps May 29, 2008

I like to play around with the "street view" function of Google maps and try to find places I'm interested in so I can see them up close.
