I wouldn't be so quick to judge those who put their parents at the bottom of the list. We usually don't live with our parents, so it is hard to keep the happiness they provide us with in perspective. On the other hand, our children, spouses and pets all live with us, so it's not that they are a better source of happiness - they are just a more freely available source of happiness. It's only normal they provide more happiness than our parents do.

By not being attached to the illusion of the ouside world and being free of fears or desires one can be happy with anything and everything!!!
Happiness is inside of oneself!!!
We are all ephemeral, different from one moment to the other, enjoying a temporary existence, and the world is our playground!

All is ephemeral, and many people believe that to feel happiness one needs to experience sorrow too. nonsense, just be in harmony with your inner being, don't take life to serious, give all you have without expecting, don't desire to do sth. else when you are doing one thing, and still follow your heart and be free.

Ask yourself if you do what you do because you want to do it...;-):D
