Otherwise engaged...
Jan 30
I have been caring for my husband who fell and broke hip and right arm, so I had until today been turning away work. I had a pretty busy month of December, though, and the beginning of January was also busy, so I am assuming I would have seen an increase.

Yes ... and probably actually no
Jan 30
I have completed a higher value of work for higher or the same rates in Jan 2012 compared to January 2011, but January is always pretty steady for me as I have two fairly large annually recurring projects which take place in December/January.
I imagine if the earings indexed with consumer price index though I expect that would show a overall decrease rather than an increase.

Last year at had some jobs in January, but this year I have been busy since New Year. I have translated twice as much pages this year. It has also been a much better month than December

Can't tell for sure
Jan 30
January was pretty slow, not sure if it was slower than Jan 2011, though, as I measure my accounts receivables not by month.
Speaking of turnover, I could munch on a Jamaican turnover right about now.

depends
Jan 31
It depends on how you see it. My leads from ProZ decreased badly from 3 years ago but my overall turnover remains the same.
I don't know why but it's very hard to find jobs via ProZ now, maybe due to the increase of translators registering on this site, offering very low price. 3 years ago, I could easily find projects from ProZ.
I have then terminated my subscription.
What do you think?
