Other - fairly Jan 31

I'd say I'm fairly optimistic for the coming year. I have several reliable or semi-reliable clients who seem to be bucking the economic downturn. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Somewhat Jan 31

Although locally here in Greece things look pretty grim in general, personally I'm optimistic, I believe that there are many opportunities out there and thinking positively is definitely important

I am always optimistic about my business Jan 31

Because if I myself don't believe in what I am doing, how on earth would I be able to convince my clients to continue working with me?

January has been promising and I know that the next two months a few nice and large assignments are coming my way, so I have every reason to be optimistic...

Thanks goodness for the old regulars! Although some of mine are trying to cut back on what they do, they are all still working despite the situation. I imagine it must be worse for people relying wholly on agencies.

Anyway, in a worst case scenario I can look for other things when translation work runs out.

Somewhere between "somewhat" and "very" Jan 31

I don't want to tempt fate, but so far I've had two new clients and my favorite, well-paying one has been calling on me. Also, some personnel changes may work out in my favor.

I am always very optimistic until something happens. Always stay optimistic and it should work out.

It always depends on the fields that you are work in Jan 31

The more bad news in the media, the more money I make because I have tons of press releases to translate. During economic downturns or recessions manufacturers tend to resort to PR as a marketing tool instead of glossy brochures and expensive print ad campaigns and I get to work my fingers to the bone. Banking crises mean record years in terms of income. I know, it sounds bizarre but that's how it is.

Optimistic Jan 31

January wasn't such a good month for me, but things started moving again, so I am very optimistic that 2012 will be a good year overall.

My thoughts exactly. Life is full of opportunities for those of us who have been around for 20+ years.

Well... Jan 31

Pessimistic comments, although realistic, do not attract jobs or clients, do they? May I suggest that's why one hardly sees any of them around?

My 2012 Jan 31

My 2012 started with some bumps but overall I cannot say it was any different from an average 2011 month, thus I am not pessimistic about it.
However if I had to bet on the best year in my career, 2012 wouldn't be my top choice.

I'am an optimistic by nature, but things aren't exactly rosy out there for the moment. Let's wait and see!

Optimistic, yet realistic. Jan 31

I am possibly better positioned this year than last. I did not achieve many of my goals in 2011, so still have a few things to work towards. I am not one to give up at the first sign of difficulty.
