No, I have not Feb 1

But, some time is easiest to correct other faults. In other cases is not so simple.
But if someone wants to contact me for a collaborattion, she/he is invited and, of course, wellcome.

Roberto

Unfortunately NO! Feb 1

Actually I strongly believe that having an accommodating mentor means - half on the battle is won in the beginning itself.

But I afraid in the current era nobody wants to act like this due to a jeopardy that "emergence of up-to-the-minute competition"!!

Some people I regard especially as my mentors were colleagues at the agency where I worked in house at the start of my translating career.

Like Christine, I learned most of my craft from senior translators when I was a staff translator at the Organization of American States. There were a number of them - we had large teams in those days. Every job was reviewed (not 'revised'!), and the experienced translators would sit down with us and explain where we could improve our work. As I rose up the ladder and earned reviewer status myself, we would review each other, and of course we were careful to respect our colleagues' work, especially because we knew that the tables would be turned the next day. No job ever went out without being seen by two pairs of eyes.

My hero was Mary Jo Carlson, head of Language Services for many years. She set the tone for courtesy, commitment, and thoroughness.

I need a mentor for interpreting between Turkish English and vice versa Feb 2

I've never had one and would really appreciate one to help me improve my interpreting skills.
My greatest ambition is to be a conference interpreter

Thanks in advance for all volunteers
