I am not putting any money into savings, but if I had the discipline, of course I could set some aside. One can always save, no matter how small the income.
I am early-retired from a staff translating job, which blessed me with a pension. I just now refinanced my mortgage at a much lower rate, so I am "saving" on the interest I was paying until now.
