Mostly Danish Kroner, but sometimes pounds (GBP) or Euros. This is largely due to the fact that the UK and Scandinavia, where 'my' languages are spoken, have not joined the currency union. I'm happy as long as they pay on time!

Mostly Norwegian kroner, since that's where I live, and most of my translation is Norwegian texts into English. Bill

I guess this is more of an issue for agencies who have to deal with various/multiple currency combinations. Having once been involved in such a transaction (quoting in pounds sterling, paying a translator in dollars and then putting it all through a euros accounting system), I think we, as translators, should perhaps be more appreciative of this part of the service offered by agencies.
Hah! This "matter of time" might as well be long enough to see me retired and relying on my savings

I receive payments in euros. My rates are in euros too. I think USD is a weak currency compared to euro and according to economists, USD is more devaluated each day. It would be a great idea to set the rates according to the gold standard.

Mexican Peso. 99 % of my clients are based here, so... 1 % Euro.
Invoices are usually in USD, but depending on way of payment I get automatically calculated amount from invoice currency to PLN, or in original invoice currency sent by customer (USD, or EUR), and change it to PLN later, withdrawing money. Anni

Did the Franks invade Switzerland at one time? I have no idea. Nevertheless, that should read Swiss Francs. Reed
Elisabete Cunha Portugal Local time: 10:01 Member (2006) English to Portuguese + ... This is a surprise | Feb 1, 2007 |
I'm surprise to see that most of the answers are "Euro"... 90% of my clients pay in USD. Of course I would prefer to be paid in Euro, but that rarely happens.
