Well, if "investing" means Oct 12, 2007

to buy items for your business/job, then yes, I do invest.
I understood it to mean investing as in stock market, money market, funds, savings, etc. and my answer was no. I should though, but I keep putting it off from month to month and year to year.

Investment Oct 12, 2007

This meaning of investment allows me to say that in spite of some unpleasant situations, I've been able to invest in a couple of dictionaries, and thats about all...

Oh, yes, also investing in studies and my health and wellbeing.

It depends Oct 12, 2007

If you mean reinvesting earned money in my personal and professional developement than the answer would be in my case yes, very much. Actually I do not invest in anything else.

To give some examples:
law studies,
trainings (trados, soft skills),
conferences,
proz.com membership,
membership in associations,
hardware,
software,
advertising.

Yes Oct 12, 2007

Always have, and like Oleg, I prefer real estate. It's kept me from ending up poor.

But no, I won't share...

Health and wellbeing Oct 12, 2007

I have just paid for an upcoming two week holiday in a sunny place. That is what I call a good investment

I also try to save a little for my old age in various ways, and I am not sharing that, either Perhaps with my husband...

No, Inland Revenue does that for me Oct 12, 2007

Right now, all the money I'm saving is going towards paying the taxes due for January 2008!

I understood "investment" in the sense of investment in stocks and shares, property etc. so the answer was a clear "No". I didn't understand it as investment in software or courses or personal development.

New things Oct 12, 2007

I invested in a laptop, books and studies. With my girlfriend we bought a new refrigerator among other things for our apartment, well, "our" is a way of saying it, for our rented apartment. Buying a house is beyond our possibilities; they are really expensive in Argentina.
Best,
Fernando

Definitely Oct 13, 2007

Individual stocks, mutual funds, CDs, money market accounts, retirement funds, real estate... it can get addictive after a while.

No Oct 13, 2007

I answered "No" because I thought you meant stocks, real estate and all sorts of financial things.
